Nice to meet you, I’m Lauren!

I’ve been tattooing for a little over 5 years and I’m based in Durham, North Carolina. Illustration has always been at the center of my life as far back as I can remember, so getting to create work so personal and meaningful for others is truly a dream come true. When I’m not tattooing I’m most likely spending time laughing with friends or trying to notice little details along my daily walks. It’s an honor to meet and work together with you!

Some of my favorite subjects to tattoo are anything flora/fauna, sentimental objects and little trinkets, and things that are pulled from deep memory. I’ve always been interested in the experience of nostalgia, the ways we assign meaning to different symbols through tattoos, and the exchange of stories with one another.

My practice is centered around the aim to cultivate a welcoming and open setting in which my clients feel empowered and in control of the process from start to finish. There’s something alchemic and sacred about the reclamation of the body through tattooing, and I’m incredibly humbled to facilitate this transformation for others. I believe that the best tattoos are made from an open and trusting collaboration between artist and client.
